My friend's wedding (Part 1)

My very first friend's wedding. Though a lot of my school mates already got married, but I wasnt invited to any of them. My friend, Ah Yet, is the first one who got married in our gang.
It was a busy weekend, as the wedding plan was kind of hectic.

Friday 5/6/09 - Registration Day @ Putrajaya

We reached the Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara @ Putrajaya at 9am.

The bride was not there yet. So, we took pictures with the groom. On the left - Ah Yet and Yeat Wah. On the right - Ah Yet and me =)

After registration, we wanted to take some pictures in beautiful Putrajaya. However. lunch was approaching. So, the bride and groom left. And me, Nyap Hong and Yeat Wah went to J.Co @ Sunway Pyramid for donut and coffee.

With every coffee you ordered, you get a plain donut for free. Nice, ay?

At 4:30pm in the afternoon, we went to fetch our friends who flew from Singapore. On the way back, we saw durians. We ate two Ang Heh durians. One biji costed us RM12.

At 8:30pm, went to the airport again (One day used Elite Highway for 3 times @@) to pick up Ah Yet's friends coming from Penang.

We went to USJ, Taipan for dinner. We visited Pappa Rich, something like Old town Kopitiam.

Bachelor night??

Food. The drink in the middle was a mixure of Cendol and Soya Milk. According to them, the drink tasted not bad.

After dinner, we all went back to our respective accomodation. We all needed to get up early the next day for the bride fetching ceremony.

Review - Botani Olive Skin Serum

Been using this serum for 3 months now. I think it is time for me to review it.

First of all, this is an organic product. You might think what can an organic product do? I thought that too, we live a world full of chemicals, only chemicals like SKII, Clinique will give result. But, can organic products work?

This serum is actually in oil-form. It contains a very important ingredient called Squalene, which is extracted from olive plant. Squalene is important to us because part of our skin is made of Squalene. As we grow old, our skin will decrease its production of Squalene, which is so-called aging. I am quoting  Erica Yuen for this statement.

This serum suits me as I have dry and dehydrated skin. I have serious acne on my forehead which is due to stree + insomnia + constipation. Also blackhead issue on my nose and both of my cheeks.

To use the serum, you need to release a drop of serum on ur finger (using the pump), then rub the drop with other fingers, once ur fingers have the serum spreaded on them, then dab your fingers on ur face and press gently. Press it on ur cheeks, chin, forehead, eyes, lips and throat. My face needs 3 drops of serum oil to cover the face area and neck area. For 3 drops each time, I would say this serum can last a very long time. HK artist, Erica Yuen even apply the serum on elbows and feet. I purchased this serum online at RM100 including postage. Not a very expensive skincare product, since u can use it for so long.

This is my favourite product so far. It mosturizes my skin. Best thing is, it acts as an eye cream also, so I save the money in buying expensive eye cream. On my pimples problem, I think it helps a bit. It is not that kind of product that gives miracle immediately, but I definitely feel my skin more hydrated than before. My forehead still have a lot of tiny pimples. Blackhead problem is not improving as well, it got worst. I guess I need to do some detox colon cleansing some other times.

Durian Indulgence @ Balik Pulau

It's durian season! My colleagues have been craving for durians for awhile, but didnt really get to eat any. Finally our durian trip worked.

We went to a durian farm at Balik Pulau, Penang after work. 10 of us went. Travelling from Bayan Lepas to Balik Pulau needs around 45 minutes. On the way to Balik Pulau, we saw breath-taking scenery, mountains, trees and paddy field, it was so tranquil.

We arrived at an antique wooden house in Balik Pulau.

We saw people cleaning the durians at the backyard.

We were provided two jugs of cooling Lau How Juice (Nutmeg Juice). Very good in getting rid of heatiness of the durians.

After finishing our fruits. We went for a walk at the farm behind the house. They rare chicken there.

My colleague, Jonathan is working on the dodol ( durian toffee).

Nice durian field trip. Ten of us ate 20 durians and it costed us RM18 per person. Not bad, aye? I would say it is very cheap. But too bad we didnt get to eat the famous Ang Heh (Red Prawn) durian. Anyway, all the durians tasted soOoo good, haha..

Fake Golla Laptop Bag vs The Real One

Golla is a famous brand for laptop bags. Coincidentally, my sister and I both bought a Golla bag each. But the thing is, one is real genuine Golla, while another one is fake replica.

Take a look at both bags, which one is the real, and which is not? hehe...

We have bag A - chocolate outlook, and pink inners. Then Bag B- Black outside and red inners..Both look good right?

So, both bags are quite the same right? =) My sister bought the bag from Kuala Lumpur for RM199, while I bought the bag for RM70 via mail order from China.

The real one is Bag A. I am sure if you look closer, u can tell the difference. The sewings for Bag B is rougher, even the padding they used also not as good as the pink linings. Pink bag definitely is more comfortable to carry around with.

So, for RM199 and RM70, which bag would you choose?

Penang Street Market - World Heritage Site

After visiting Floral Fest we went to Upper Penang Road as our next destination.There is a little market there, and they have it on every first Sunday of the month, from 10am to 5pm (I think).

We reached there about 11am.

Being in Penang for quite awhile now. I have always been working and didnt really have time to see Penang and try the food etc. I could be leaving Penang soon, I dont know. Anyway, back to Penang Street Market. It is located at Upper Penang Road, near to Cititel Hotel and Momo, where all the happening clubs are.

It was kinda cool to visit such place, I felt like a tourist =) They sell mainly Malaysian crafts and Malaysian food. Prices of the crafts are quite reasonable. Food wise, they have Malay food, Pasembor, traditional kuih etc.

Another thing is, you can enjoy all kinds of performance @ Penang Street Market. Those who wanna perform in this street market have to volunteered themselves, so the performace may vary from month to month.

First up, there was this foreign lady who can sing non-english songs very well. Her voice is merdu sekali. She sang a Malay classic song, Mandarin version of Rose Rose, I Love You. And also a German song.

A philosoper from Universiti Sains Malaysia citing his poems with all his heart out. His voice was so loud, he shoudnt have used the microphone =)

Next, it was the highlight of the show - Caperiera. If you have watched America's Next Top Model cycle 12, you will surely know what Caperiera is. Caperiera is a Brazillian martial art. Some cool stunts by the performers:

At 1pm, the show had a break for one hour. We went to the Seventies Kopitiam, in Upper Penang also. The food and drinks and nice, but a bit pricy though.

We did not continue watching the performance, we were too tired. We went home. It was good to explore. Wish I could visit this market again next month.
